Mid-Season Report

NFL: Indianapolis Colts at San Diego Chargers

The Chargers are in third place in the AFC West division in the NFL with a 4-4 record. They are behind the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos who hold the first and second spot. Those two teams are arguably the best teams in the NFL at this point in the season. You could also argue that the Chargers are playing in the best division the NFL has to offer thus far in the season.

Chargers off to hot start despite Week 1 loss to Texans

“The Texans? That’s who the Chargers play week one? Ohh boy”… is my exact reaction when I saw the Chargers schedule for this season. As you can tell, I didn’t have a lot of hope for this game. I thought blowout after the end of the first half. Many of you other fans might have thought the same thing. A rookie head coach, rookie GM, a new offensive scheme, a declining quarterback and a defense that lost a lot of firepower and veteran leadership. Let’s just skip this weeks tailgate party and tell our “buds” we had a funeral to go to. Well, I have to say..  they sure proved me wrong.

Breaking down Pre-Season opener vs. Seattle

Chargers-vs.-Seahawks

The 2013-2014 NFL season is officially underway. After waiting for what seems like forever, NFL football is finally back within the comfort of our homes. The Chargers started off this year with a pre-season opener at Qualcomb Stadium facing the Seattle Seahawks.

The Chargers had some signs of improvement, however, this game was only a pre-season one and the possibilities are endless of what could happen over the length of a whole season.

2013-14 San Diego Chargers Schedule and Keys to Success

Chargers Training Camp 2013With Training Camp underway (beginning on the 25th of July) the Chargers look to iron out any kinks they may have at this point in time. They also look to finalize their roster and pencil in their starters for the 2013-2014 NFL Season.

During this time of the NFL offseason is generally when fans and NFL Experts begin to make their season predictions about which team will be sitting atop each ‘Division’, and the even bigger task, atop each ‘Conference’. Many also begin their Fantasy Football season. San Diego signed some major additions to the team, however, they lost many other important players as well. This year’s Chargers team has a lot of questions to answer. Here is a look at the 2013-2014 San Diego Charger season and what to expect.

Mid-season hero Danario Alexander will return to Chargers

San Diego Chargers v Denver BroncosThe Chargers gambled last year by signing wide receiver Danario Alexander, and it sure has paid off. Alexander became Philip Rivers #1 target and San Diego’s threat to score mid-way through the 2012-2013 season. He also was a dependable target in big time situations. Which earned trust of not only Philip Rivers, but the coaching staff and players.

Keenan Allen brought into San Diego family

NFL: San Diego Chargers-Rookie MinicampNow that part of Philip Rivers problem is gone by drafting D.J. Fluker, its time to give him some weapons to target. The Chargers draft Keenan Allen in the third round to help out Philip Rivers.
